Computers: Our computer system is designed to manage the most efficient and up-to-date practice within the dental industry. The system files insurance claims and generates letters to patients, other dentists, and insurance companies. It also handles treatment and payment plans. We make sure our computer system takes care of the technicalities so that we can provide you with the utmost individualized care.
Intra-Oral Camera: A part of the new patient exam, this camera allows the staff to
easily and painlessly photograph the inside of your mouth. The photographic image can be projected onto a color monitor and enlarged for you and the doctor to view together. Because this magnification allows us to see your mouth more clearly, we are able to provide better, more informed dental care.
Digital Radiography: This form of computerized radiography uses a standard x-ray generator as its radiation source. An intra-oral sensor that is placed in the mouth collects the image. The color capabilities allow our patients to distinguish separate colors and become better educated as they are viewing. The "zoom" capabilities allow our patients to view localized areas for a better understanding of their diagnosis. Our patients should be encouraged with the 80-90% reduction in radiation exposure identified with this technology.
Panorex: The Panorex film provides Dr. Anderson with a panoramic view of the oral cavity and provides information at a glance with regard to existing restoration, supporting bone, sources of infection, tumors, cysts, and decay. Its value lies in the information that it provides so that a direction can quickly be taken toward the source of the problem.
Electronic Insurance Claims: To continue our ongoing effort to be more efficient, we are now submitting insurance claims electronically. This will enable the claims to be paid in the shortest amount of time.
